MYSTERY ROOM SERIES: THE CORAL CASTLE
Sam Champion will be live from Coral Castle in Florida. Behind this nine-ton door lies a mystery… The Coral Castle, an engineering riddle that modern day scholars cannot solve. It was built by eccentric Edward Leedskalnin, who always worked on the castle alone, under the cover of night, to keep secret his methods for moving and sculpting 30-ton pieces of coral rock. His biggest rocks weigh more that any stone in the Pyramid of Giza and stand taller than any monolith at Stonehenge. The stone marvels inside include a sun dial, a Polaris telescope, sculptures of celestial stars and planets, and a heart-shaped table. Ed began work in 1923 which he continued till his death in 1951.
